iVillage Tags Westwind Media for Online Radio Network

iVillage.com (http://www.ivillage.com) launchedthe iVillage Music Network, with three original web radiochannels.

Westwind Media (http://www.westwindmedia.com), a provider of radio shows and content, is handling the production for iVillage.

The channels are a livefive hour radio show hosted by DJ Lydia Smith with a variety of music, a Soft Rock channel and Country.

iVillage.com has also partnered with web-only radio stationwaby.com (http://www.waby.com)which features music ranging from Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett to Sting.

"We polled iVillagers to learn what music they like best," said said iVillage.com co-founderand editor-in-chief Nancy Evans. "Their three topchoices determined the content of our three channels. . .the most exciting thing to me aboutthis channel is the complete integration between community, personality andgreat music. This is a new concept in radio."

The live show, Hits Live!, heard every Monday through Friday from 12-5 PM ET, DJ Lydia Smith will take email requests, phoneinterviews with personalities and will also tap into content from iVillage itself.
