Brandlive Creates an App Just for Enterprise Live Video Streaming

Brandlive is used to helping its customers go live, and now they can do it from their mobile devices.

The cloud-based live video platform created just for brands, Brandlive, announced the release of its new mobile app for iOS and Android, called Brandlive Mobile. With it, brands and retailers can stream live to their fans without the need for a desktop computer.

Brandlive MobileUsing the app, brands, can log in and start streaming live video directly from their phone, streaming to the brand's owned and operated channels and apps. The app can even be used for private in-house events, giving it more flexibility. It supports live streaming to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, and lets marketers track views and shares on all major platforms. It even knows a few tricks, as marketers can display quizzes and courses along with their live stream, making the app useful for training or promotions.

Consumers can view Brandlive Mobile content either live or on-demand. They can interact with the presenters and subscribe to a brand's video feed.

"Smartphones and their cameras leap forward with every new generation giving anyone the power to become a professional content creator," says Fritz Brumder, co-founder and CEO at Brandlive. "Going live using just a smartphone gives brands and retailers the power to easily create and distribute content on-the-move, connecting with more audiences more often."

Prior to launching this app, Brandlive partnered with IBM Cloud Video to better understand how marketers intend to incorporate live video into their 2018 marketing strategies. In early results, respondents were especially optimistic about the coming year. In fact, 94.8 percent of respondents said that live video was an important part of their 2018 marketing mix, while 25 percent stated that live content was a top priority, edging out pre-recorded video.

"At Cabela's, we are hosting an average of 300 live events per year, including internal trainings for our North American retailers," says Dustin Edwards, learning and development manager for Cabela's. "Live video has become part of the fabric of how we communicate; we've seen the performance of our product lines change on a dime when we use a combination of live video and product experts for training. The Brandlive mobile app will make it that much easier for us to connect with our internal and external audiences in the most authentic, cost effective, and beneficial way."

Brandlive is used by such companies as Adidas, eBay, Cabela's, REI, and The North Face.
